In July, 08, Carl directed "poetry in sound and motion" with rap artist, Jeremy Chambers; five days with eight kids ages 9 - 15. The camp was sponsored in part by the Socan Foundation. Four songs in five days were composed and performed in concert. Camp rock happened in August and another four songs were composed.

October 08, Carl collaborated with Thompson Egbo, Brandon Merenick and Greg Stokes at Firgrove public school; the program was called, "Evolution through the arts." They set up two classes and composed two songs. Carl and Brandon taught their group of kids age 7 - 10, the rhythm of the "Limerick." The Firgrove experience was a great success as each class composed a song.
